In recent years there has been much improvement in the river environs, with it has come a growing interest in small stream and river fishing.
Cane is the perfect material for this fascinating aspect of our sport.

My interest in cane rods comes from my interest in fishing rough waters.
My back ground is in cabinet making and it seemed natural to try and make a cane rod.
That interest turned in to a fascination (I will refrain saying obsession) and over the years as my skills and knowledge developed I realized that cane was capable of much more than the slower traditional tapers.
