How?

If you fish small streams and rivers then this is the ideal Furled Leader to put on your floating line, 36" in length spun from copolymer nylon, the leader will compliment any line from 3wt to 5wt.

When you are dry fly fishing a light dressing of Muscilin, Gink or similar will give excellent buoyancy.

If conditions are more suited to a team of wets flies or nymph fishing, then dress the leader with Xink and the set up will work as a gentle sinking tip.

The Furled Leader has a supple woven loop at the each end; giving a smooth transition through fly line, tapered leader and out to the tippet section.

The spun construction means that the leader has excellent shock absorbing qualities; vital for protecting the tippet and reducing the numbers of bumped fish.

Easy to attach and durable this leader is perfect for rods 7' to 8' 6" giving good turn over and presentation.

For the mono tippet section I would suggest a Surgeons Loop on the end of a 30" length of 5lb (4X), then join on a length of 24"of 3lb (6X) test using a Double (or Triple) Surgeons Knot, if you want to fish a dropper leave one side of the knot untrimmed (the 3lb tail is best). Make the loop to loop connection and you're ready to fish, if you are neat with your Double Surgeons knots the 5lb length will last a long time, change the tippet section whenever it gets short or collects wind knots.
